Activity Logging Web activity logging can keep track of user hits and browser statistics. Includes support for three popular log formats (common, combined, and extended). Reports can be generated and downloaded by merchants for use with log analysis software. Automatic archiving features can automatically maintain log size.
Bank Code Option Many credit card companies are now requiring a bank code for card transactions. Customers may enter this bank code during checkout and the information will be captured as part of the order details.
Checkout Shopping basket functions include built-in checksum verification for credit cards and supports secure real-time payments. Payment options and real-time gateways can be extended and customized. Email order notifications may be automatically sent to the customer, merchant, and / or another contact.
Cookie Support AbleCommerce 5.x will work with cookies or without. A cookie enables the program to recognize the user and retrieve any existing information on the customer. Cookies are safe and are provided as a convenience to the customer during the checkout process.
Cross Selling of Related Products After adding your inventory, you can easily search the database for accessory products that are related to your main product. If the accessory products are attached, the product name will appear with a link to these other related products.
Custom Shipping Select from three different classes of shipping: 1) Flat fee per shipment, 2) Variant fee based on order total, and 3) Variant fee based on total weight of order. You may add unlimited custom shipping methods for each type of shipping class. Each shipping method may be assigned to different countries and/or warehouses.
Customer Service Automation Your customers have the ability to automatically view their order history. They can also view specific order details with information like shipping tracking numbers and fulfillment status.
Database Management We supply Microsoft Access 2000 databases by default. New databases can be automatically created in either Access or Microsoft SQL Server. Existing databases can also be upsized to SQL Server if desired. Each database may contain a single store or many stores depending on how you choose to manage your store groups.
Discounts and Specials Setup custom discounts using a dollar or percentage off the price for a selected quantity of items ordered. Setup product specials in advance to appear for a selected date range with a special price. Both discounts and specials can be configured for all users or for specific groups.
Documentation AbleCommerce 5.x's administration has help buttons for immediate reference to the area you are currently using. A full set of documentation in HTML format is available for system administrators. Also included is a separate merchant guide that you may give out as a single zip file or a combined set of HTML files to your store administrators.
Flexible Development Language Administration pages and store templates can be customized quickly and easily. A detailed programmer reference is included.
Groups Membership groups allow for any number of pricing levels when combined with discounts or specials. Merchants can maintain their own groups and the users they contain.
Installation Installs easily and in minutes with the industry standard InstallShield. Supports multiple installations on a single server.
Inventory Control Add your product inventory with UNLIMITED levels of hierarchical categorization. The copy feature allows quick creation of similar products. Inventory control can be enabled to keep track of stock on hand and reorder levels. Merchants can receive automatic notification by email when it's time to reorder products. Also includes Batch Edit for single page editing of large numbers of products with search capabilities and individual field selections.
Kitting Kitting allows multiple products to be sold together in a package. Multiple components can be attached to for each kit that allow very flexible configurations and customer options.
Manage Regions You can add, edit, or delete countries and their states / provinces. You can also customize the address format for each country.
Multi-currency Each store can specify a base currency as well as any number of additional currencies. Prices displayed on retail pages will be converted into all configured currencies using provided exchange rates.
Multi-tier Taxation Taxes can be applied to a country, a state / province, or a postal code. Product specific taxes (e.g. Tobacco Tax) are also supported. At checkout, the customer is automatically notified of any applied taxes based on either their shipping or billing address.
Multiple Domains and SSL You can have a unique domain name for a single store, group of stores, or all or your stores. Likewise, a secure certificate may be shared by all stores, different groups of stores, or a single store may have its own while the other stores share the secure domain used as the installation domain.
Product Options Merchants can specify up to 8 attributes for each product, with unlimited options. Options can be configured to calculate price, weight, and SKU for a specific combination of options. Inventory can be tracked per combination or for the base product.
Real-Time Payment Processors Includes support for CyberCash, AuthorizeNet, SkipJack, and Versign. Payment processors are fully extendable and new modules can be installed in seconds.
Reporting and Statistics Keep track of who, what, where and when customers are buying. Built-in reports include Product Sales, Sales Totals, Sales Tax, and Shipping Charges.
Retail Shopping Simple turn-page navigation, uses a relational (hierarchical) categorization of products, order a single item or many at a time, discounts for bulk quantity ordering, stores customer information in the database, international transactions and shipping, customer order verification by email, and a printable invoice.
Secure Transaction AbleCommerce 5.x supports secure transactions via industry standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL).
Security here are two levels of online administration access. Each installation will have a system administrator and each store can have a merchant administrator. The system administrator will have the ability to make global operating changes and maintain the user database. The merchant administrator will have the ability to add inventory and customize their store's design. All administration is accomplished with a web browser.
Shipping Tracking Merchants will enjoy the added flexibility of order fulfillment with the ability to add a shipping tracking number.
Templates Twelve templates are included with the default installation. Templates can be easily added and/or modified. Merchants can update their selected template at any time right from the administration menu.
Tree Navigation Merchant Administration uses a tree menu for navigation, allowing categories, products, and other data to display in a hierarchical fashion.

Users Merchants can configure and maintain customers of their store. Customers are automatically created at purchase, but can additionally be created by the Merchant through the Users interface. Passwords, contact information, and group information can all be updated by the merchant.
Warehouses Configure the ship from locations for your products. Products are each assigned to a warehouse. Warehouses can in turn be assigned to specific shipping methods for maximum flexibility in calculating fees. Integrated UPS OnLineŽ Tools automatically calculates charges based on ship from and ship to addresses.
WYSIWYG Built in WYSIWYG editor (IE 5.5 and Higher) allows merchants to edit their store web pages right from the browser. Use of Scriptlets simplifies complex scripting code so merchants can focus on content and style.
